This record opens with two amazing melodic punk songs. The rest, however, is pretty standard generic hardcore/punk rock. Although there are a few decent tunes, they're just outshined by the first two songs. I kept waiting for more like that throughout the rest of the record, but no... The lyrics to "Contra Rebels" are kind of unusual, at least in the punk scene - praising the US government's funding of anti-communist rebels in South America.
