Most of the songs here are mid-tempo punk rock with a melodic edge. Nothing remarkable - the faster, more hardcore songs don't have the punch of Independence, and the melodic ones aren't at the level of Within These Walls. The first side is bland and mostly forgettable, but the second side is better. Maybe it's just that by that time the band has grown on me, I don't know. The best song, "No Pity", combines the best hardcore and melodic elements that the band has to offer, but doesn't really make the record stand out from this band's fairly extensive catalog.
