LYRICS

SELLING OUT LP
X-Mist XM-008, 1987
Simple hardcore thrash with a US/Youth Crew influence. There's a lighthearted feeling to the record, apparent in the lyrics, liner notes, and hip-hop-style breakdowns that appear a couple times. This LP is made up of two sessions: Side A was recorded in July 1987, and Side B was recorded in March 1987. The earlier tracks have enough spark to make them interesting, but the later stuff, though sometimes catchy, has no real urgency and is for the most part forgettable. Overall, the music is a little too generic and simple to be great (the exception being "Nothing Lasts Forever", a good midtempo melodic song which is nice for a change of pace). At least their hearts seem to be in the right place and I bet they were a fun live band...
