SCOPE AND CONTENT

The New York Women's Anthropology Conference and the International Women's Anthropology Conference records portray the development of a unique feminist anthropologist organization from 1972 to 2000. The records document the challenges and successes of a women's organization that engaged in activities intended to bridge the gap between the academy and the international women's movement.
