About Psychôlôgie

Psychôlôgie was started on June 20, 2001.

To put it simply, Psychôlôgie is about that old desire to "think outside of the box." Linguists, psychologists, philosophers -- all will tell you straight-up that our capacity for thought is directly limited by our very capacity for language. Thus, we can only think as far as our language can take us. It was from this churning cistern that an English-language site with a French/German name was born.

This is my dream: I imagine Psychôlôgie as an eventual meeting place for writers, artists, designers, poets, and even an aspiring politician or two. In our furious quests for individuality, as we each strive to think outside of our "box," Psychôlôgie is most immanently about what we each desire from the universe -- and about our subsequent frustration with it.

Psychôlôgie's technical aspects: Initially (6/20 - 6/25) created with Netscape Composer 4.01, and countless man-hours without sleep (ah, insomnia, how I know thee so well) on my Pentium-200, Windows 95 OS-runnin' machine. Yes, "bootlegged."

My eternal thanks to Macromedia for its Dreamweaver 4.0 software.

Graphical work done via a mix of Paint Shop Pro (a surprisingly good piece of software), Adobe Photoshop, and Macromedia Fireworks 4.0. Layout done from imagination.

This is also my first website ever, and I still don't know a drop of code, so please, don't knock it. 'Tis my baby.
