Brief Bio:
Currently: NYU
psychology doctoral student (advisor: Marisa

Previous Education: Pennsylvania
State University, PA (BS, Psychology)
Hails From: Rochester,

Garbage Plate)
Research Interests: Visual attention, psychophysics,
contrast sensitivity, motion processing
Current Research: The world's big, and our brains
are small. Attention helps us filter the torrent of information in
our visual world into smaller, more comprehensible bits of information.
How does attention do this? A growing body of evidence suggests that
the attentional selection process occurs very early on in
the visual stream -attention actually affects how we see. My research
focuses on the mechanisms underlying attentional modulation of perception.
In particular, I'm interested in linking neural models of attention
to psychophysics.
Other Interests: Backpacking/camping, snowboarding, bicycling, guitar, dendrobates, stephen
