A Guide to Bosses in MapleStory

As
an experienced mapler, I'm here to share the strategies necessary to
defeat the strongest enemies in the game. I've made and played an
assortment of characters. Enjoy!
Many times you'll see me make use of certain key terms. Below is an explanation of them:
Attacker class - primary attackers in MapleStory are Heroes and Night Lords
Support
attacker class - attackers that offer a buff to enhance primary
attackers, there are Bowmasters, Bucaneers, and Dark Knights
Healer class - the only major healer in the entire game, Bishops
Full party - consists of 3 primary attackers (for buffs use the same attacker class), 2 support attackers and 1 healer
Night Lord Full Party - 3 Night Lords, 1 Bowmaster, 1 Dark Knight, 1 Bishop
Hero Full Pary w/o HB - 3 Heroes, 1 Bucaneer, 1 Bowmaster, 1 Bishop
Hero Full Party with HB - 3 Heroes, 1 Bucaneer, 1 Dark knight, 1 Bishop

Primary
attackers are heroes and night lords simply because over a given amount
of time, they will outdamage all other classes with all necessary
buffs. Heroes become the
primary melee, or close-range,
attacker while Night Lords are the ranged attackers. Support
attackers can still deal damage but not as effectively as primary
attackers.
However, their involvement is crucial in giving
primary attackers the edge over all other classes. Night Lords
depend heavily on criticals to deal damage, thus, an archer's
Sharp
Eyes is an essential buff that must be maintained. Heroes using 2
handed weapons will have considerably higher damage when given the
Bucaneer buff, speed infusion.
When a boss fight requires
extra HP to survive, a Dark Knight then becomes an essential support
attacker because it provide Hyper Body. A healer will always be
needed in
every party not only because of heals but because of many
buffs like holy symbol, increases overall experience gained, bless,
increases accuracy, avoid, and defense, and,
holy shield, immune
to all status ailments for the duration of the buff. Bishops also
provide ressurection, a skill that revives dead players.
