An
Club Baby Seal - hosted by Chris
Here is a guy who, when he applied to college, argued in his personal statement that the death penalty was wrong. Don't be fooled, though; An's argument was not borne out of any altruistic purpose or higher calling - he used it as an argument for the reinstitution of torture. He was summarily rejected by every college he applied to, and then had to tell his parents that the reason he wasn't at UCSD was because he had slacked off junior year. Truly, there is no justice in this world.

Claire
Claire's Random Page Of Writing And Such
Claire's admittedly skeletal website, which is nonetheless full of her wonderful writing. Check out her poetry and her articles for UCSD's paper The Guardian.

Dani
Shizen No Kodomo: Tales of Nature's Children - Newly updated and looking better than ever. A gorgeous site dedicated to Dani's novel/manga.
You're The One I Loved Too Much - Dani's blog

Eugene
Prince Gfono's Shrine - Gene is my friends Charles and Rebecca's younger brother, and the coolest thirteen year old I know. (I mean, not many thirteen year olds have their own domain name.) His site is devoted to being a resource for computer games, console games, and anime. After you're done browsing the site a bit, join his Forums and post your thoughts. He's always really happy to have people write rants and reviews, so by all means, submit them to him.

Jeffrey
The Color Line Up Close - Not very frequently updated, but an interesting take on the issue of race in America nonetheless. Hopefully Jeffrey will find time to update despite his busy work schedule.

Meghan
A Pinch of Nutmeg - A lot of insightful writings by Meghan, who is a superior writer (not to mention web designer) to myself.
Meaning in the Margins - Meghan's blog

Misha
satyadasa - If you want to know anything about international independence movements, geography, or linguistics, go to my friend Mike "Misha" Ruby.
Misha's journal - Misha's blog

Sean-Paul
Sean-Paul's site - A dear high school friend of mine (we divided our time in between tormenting and having nothing but love for each other, and now it's just mostly the love), SP attends Humboldt State in Arcata, California, but is right now at the University of Hull in England. Read his log where he describes his experience living in England, and what it's like to be smashed all day. (Just kidding, SP)

Winnie
ephemeral - Winnie's personal site, which contains many deep thoughts and lots of poetry.

Important Stuff

Asian Americans For Equality (AAFE) - An organization committed to the empowerment of low-income families and newly-arrived immigrants in New York City.
Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) - The first legal rights organization on the East Coast for Asian Americans.
Coalition for the Human Rights of Immigrants (CHRI) - CHRI's philosophy is that all individuals, regardless of race, religion, creed, color, or immigration status still have basic human rights which must be upheld and respected.
Gabriela Network - Works on issues brought about by US Foreign Policy which adversely affect the women and children of the Philippines, such as militarism, prostitution (both child and adult), labor export, and the "mail order bride" industry.
Museum of the Chinese in the Americas - Started by Professor Jack Tchen from NYU in the 1970's, Smithsonian Magazine calls it "a cultural rescue mission to save a little-known immigrant heritage."
Pax Christi USA - Advocates the transformation of society through nonviolence and peace.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) - At my brother's insistence, I have included his "pet" project, if you will. (Ha, ha, I just crack myself up.)
Planned Parenthood USA - Providing services such as birth control and physical exams to women (and men) of all ages and economic backgrounds. Quite a noble cause, though its reputation has been smeared by individuals who associate it mostly with providing abortions.
Southern Poverty Law Center - Combats racial prejudice through litigation. Sponsors the Intelligence Project, as well as the Civil Rights Memorial, in memory of those who died during the Civil Rights Movement.
Tolerance.Org - An extensive site that provides information about hate groups, hate sites, and ways one can combat bigotry in the home, school, and society as a whole.

Website-Building Tools

Boogiejack's Web Depot - Lots of easily comprehensible HTML, JavaScript as CSS tutorials.
Designer Websites - Because I don't make these backgrounds by myself.
Free Backgrounds - More free, tasteful backgrounds.
Table Tag Generator - Tables are a real pain-in-the-ass, and mostly you have to guess as to their lengths, widths, and othersuch. This generator does your work for you.

Expand Your Mind

Babelfish - All-purpose translator, though one should use it in translating individual words, not entire sentences. (Unless you want to be amused by its atrocious translations of entire passages.)
BBC News Online - For a refreshingly different perspective from American news agencies.
Google - For all your searching needs.
New York Times Online - Though many of my friends and peers have nothing but scorn for the New York Times (some say it's too conservative, others too liberal), I still read it, and figured it deserved a link.

Fun Stuff

All Music Guide - The most comprehensive database on music that I know of. (If anyone out there knows something better, notify me immediately. Otherwise, just keep going to this site.)
Boondocks - My favorite comic ever. Follow Huey and Riley, two kids from Chicago's South Side, as they try to adjust to life in an affluent suburb. They're rockin' the suburbs, just like Michael Jackson did.
Friendster - The Internet community that's like Six Degrees of Separation simultaneously on crack and caffeine. Resistance is futile.
Homestar Runner - Some people are tall and merciless. Quincy is destroying San Antonio.
Internet Movie Database - Anything you ever want to know about any movie ever made. (Almost.)
Kazaa Lite - Because software piracy rules and spyware sucks.
Make Your Own Evil Plan - Everyone wants to take over the world, it's just a matter of who'll get there first.
Sanrio - Because, in the grand tradition of young Asian women, I continue to love Hello Kitty despite the fact that I am way past the age of twelve.
The Onion - The best place to get your news. Really, the only place.
Zombocom - I really don't know what the purpose of this site is, or what, precisely it is trying to prove. All I know is that "Anything is possible at Zombocom!" And really, isn't that all that matters?
