Hello everyone, this is the homepage of Cornelius Sheridan. I created this page for my Information Technology in Business and Society class at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Currently, I am a sophomore at school there who is studying finance and economic theory. Before my time at Stern, I attended Toms River High School East, which is located in Toms River, New Jersey. I was born and raised in Toms River, and had the pleasure of living at the Jersey Shore for the first eighteen years of my life. While I was in high school, I was involved in numerous extracurricular activities including track, mock trial and FBLA. During my years in Toms River, I met my girlfriend of six years Audrey Baricko.
For the past two years, my time at New York University has been eventful and exciting. Since the beginning of my freshman year, I have been actively involved in the Stern community. As part of my involvement, I am a member of Quantitative Finance Society and also Investment Analysis Group. Because my experiences with these clubs, I have developed a strong understanding and passion for the financial markets. I have been able to use that understanding to obtain an internship at Mercer Partners. I have been employed at that hedge fund since May of last year. During the past semester, I studied abroad at NYU's campus in London. While there I had the opportunity to explore all that London had to offer, as well as traveling throughout Europe. As a result of experiences in London, I applied and was expected to study abroad in Hong Kong during the fall semester.
