Info:
Vicious Circle gives us Aussie hardcore, fast and heavily distorted with a mean sounding singer and those punk rock lyrics we've all become accustomed to. They start off strong with "Supplied Demise," the "Coconut Song" and "Epitaph" but head for a "Personality Crisis" on the Anti-Pasti sounding "Vicious Circle," then end up being "Trapped" in "The Claws of Death" and disintegrating into "Corporate Death Sceme."
Perdition are fairly fast too, with a English sound that mixes the Subhumans with some Oi-type chants. Their lyrics are a little more personal. The yodeling singer, dinky sounding drums and overall production is not too my liking. Both these distotion-filled bands already have other Australian releases and this record does a reasonably good job as an introduction to their sound.
