Note: I can't update the site until after I move to a new server - so no contributions can be added until June (tentatively)

Please read before writing:

- Please DO NOT add me to your mailing list without asking me first.

- Please DO NOT send me image files or other large attachments to this email address, send them to: cch223@nyu.edu

- Unfortunately I only speak English.

- I do not own most of the records that are listed on the site (including the ones with cover scans). If you are looking for an original copy of a certain record, I can't really help you, but I have two suggestions: 1.) Look in your local used record store, 2.) Look on eBay.com
If you are looking for a tape or CDR copy of a certain record, please don't ask me first. Instead, you can try searching http://www.google.com and it might come up on someone's tape trading list.

- Disclaimer: I am bad at responding to emails. Response time runs anywhere from one day to six months or more. Letters just build up in my inbox that I intend to reply to, but I am not organized enough to find the free time to do this. I am one person trying to hold down a job, play music, and otherwise enjoy life, and it's always difficult to get the chance to update the website, to say nothing about responding to emails. Please feel free to repeatedly email me if I don't respond at first!

Some Suggested Guidelines for Contributions

For everything except images files, send to: killfromtheheart@yahoo.com

DISCOGRAPHIES:
If you're sending discography info, the main things I look for are:
- Album title
- Label it was released on
- Catalog number (if possible)
- Year it was released
- Tracklist
- Any other relevant info (such as lineup, the dates and location it was recorded, etc.)
The more info, the better, but you don't know everything, send it anyway. Hopefully, someone else will fill in the holes eventually.
It makes it slightly easier for me when coding the info in html to get it in the following form:
ALBUM TITLE IN CAPS (Label, Cat. #, Year)
1. Song One
2. Song Two
3. Song Three
...and so on.

BAND HISTORIES/REVIEWS:
Although I'm not in the habit of doing it, I reserve the right not to add any pieces of writing that are sent to me.
Also, PLEASE don't write to me beforehand asking/telling me you're going to send something, because from my experience over half the people who do this end up flaking out and it's disheartening not to mention annoying - please compile it first then let me know.

IMAGES:
The preferred format for images is .jpg files, I'm not a computer expert by any stretch of the imagination and I have a lot of trouble with bitmap (.bmp) and zipped (.zip) files.
The best format for cover scans is 3.5 inches x 3.5 inches (252 pixels x 252 pixels) and 72 dpi. For people who want to scan LP covers but don't have a big enough scanner and don't have Photoshop or some similar program, you can send the cover scanned in two or more pieces and I'll try to paste them together.
If you're going to send me image files, please send them to this email address: cch223@nyu.edu - my yahoo.com email box is usually near full and since image files are usually large it tends to overflow my box so no one else can send me mail.

Finally I'd just like to thank everyone who has sent in anything for the website, it has really kept me from giving up on this endless project and is very much appreciated!

-CHRIS
