ANARCHISM
Anarchism

Band History and Scans contributed by Trunt

Anarchism came to light around 1982, while all four members were still at school and their views on life brought them together. Not surprisingly, they based their songs on anarchist views and the everyday fight for freedom.

They weren't the spikey-haired run-of-the-mill punks; they followed the anarcho-punk path. Groups like Discharge and Disorder were their main influence in the beginning, but as the years passed their sound took on a much softer roll as shown on the Call No Man Master demo.

Anarchism were part of what's known today as the "Howgill Contingent" which bred most of the young punk bands of the early '80s in the Whitehaven area of Cumbria. Anarchism only had one line-up change over the years: Damian left and Kev took over the drum stool until they split.
