The last Articles of Faith album is different from everything else they put out. It's got much more of the mornful melodic sound and less of the short/fast hardcore. I like this record a lot. It has one of my favorite album covers - really simple but beautiful. Although I think "later" AOF was really influenced by Hüsker Dü (Bob Mould produced their two LPs), I also think they were trying to break new ground with this last record, and the result is, for the most part, good. Maybe they go overboard sometimes with the angsty relationship songs, but that's the risk you take when you write about personal topics I guess. For what it's worth, I really can get into this record whereas I think the first Jones Very record isn't too good.
