Reviews:

Double-O are definitely one of the bands that bridge the gap between the original harDCore and the Revolution Summer era. Even more than Faith, who released Subject to Change the same year, Double O shows a melodic, rock-based approach. The A side of this record is pretty great, with midtempo beats, earnestly sung-spoken introspective lyrics, and a fair ammount of guitar noodling. "Grey to Black," and to a lesser extent "There's No Reasoning" take a more conventional hardcore approach. "Death of a Friend," which has a drawn-out, meandering intro with synthesizers, is still decent but the least interesting track here. Somewhere between Faith and Soulside, though not quite as distinctive as either, this is a pretty solid piece of DC-area melodic hardcore.
