Reviews:

This is a somewhat unusual record for its time. In 1989, hardcore bands (at least in the United States) were either experimenting with other musical styles, or were "Youth Crew." Life Sentence, however, put out "No Experience Necessary," which is straightforward hardcore punk. Slick production and brief metal guitar licks aside, the music is directly from early eighties California. Not bad, but not that original either. Their first record had more energy and better songs. I like a few of the tracks here, but for a lot of it they just seem to be going through the motions and there's some forgettable filler material.
