Holy shit, I don't even know if it's worth reviewing this. It's such an ungodly good piece of music. I don't think I'm worthy. D. Boon was a total and complete fucking genius, and this band does not have one element that wasn't equal to that. This is the record where they took everything good about arty English punk like Wire and Gang of Four and fed it through some kind of amazing Creedence Clearwaterified Apple Pie American populist filter to get something totally their own. Minutemen records are like trips into fascinating places full of glimpses, realizations and sudden experiences that only come fully into focus as you live your life. They are as vital as any interaction you could hope to have.
