Reviews:
Probably the weakest Big Boys stuff, perhaps the best Dicks. The latter band really shines in this performance, and it's a shame it didn't make it onto the Alternative Tentacles CD in it's entirety. That whole CD is a damn shame. The first two tracks, two of their best, totally fucking destroy with Gary Floyd dishing out the Dicks' party line. This set focuses on their blues-based punk rock anthems and doesn't really stray the way the LP does. Too bad the stellar rendition of Kill From the Heart found on the 7" resissue isn't here. As for the Big Boys, my favorite band, they sound a little too subdued here. The songs are mostly their slow, sparse early stuff with only "Red/Green" to get the party started. Biscuit sounds creepier than he ever would again on his scary killer songs though. What a great split!
