Reviews:

As I said in the bio, this LP is a masterwork of adolescent rage and primal rock and roll. Glen E. Friedman (!) polishes it up a bit too much, but Mike's toneless, earnest yelling keeps the music raw even when the production and guitar solos depart from punk rock territory. The lyrics are confused and often juvenile, but work the way that the Germs worked: like some kind of retarded poetry. "Institutionalized," despite being on those 80's compilations, is a near-perfect anthem for pissed off kids. I can’t really listen to "I Saw Your Mommy" or even its sister song "Subliminal" too much, but that doesn't mean this isn't a stellar punk record that you can sit there and sing along to through every song. "I Shot Reagan!" has to be the coolest thing ever yelled to start a song.
