Band History written by Jesse Upstate New York is not known for being a haven for the musical arts. Sure we've had Dio, but besides that the only other musical entity worth a damn are the Catatonics. The Catatonics were like most USHC bands in 1984 - fucked up kids from a wealthy suburb (of Syracuse NY). They were one of a handful of punk bands in the area to release a 7" during the 80's. The only other vinyl contribution they made is on the Flipside Vinyl Fanzine Vol 2 compilation LP. Singer/drummer Belvy continues on today in '77 style band Libertine who Iggy Pop apparently adores. |
