  • Introduction

Dreams have long been an object of curiosity in human history for

their unusual and interesting content. Many different cultures have

had, or continue to have, their own particular interpretations of,

and functions for, dreams. The most significant of these may be the

Islam, Hindu, and Chinese analysis of dreams. However there are

many other smaller but no less interesting cultures with a

particular dream culture. A good example is the Senoi people, who

use dreams for a variety of purposes; for example, as a way to deal

with fears and apprehensions early in childhood. (Vedfelt 308)
