Musica Nueva Mˆlaga International in collaboration with the village of Frigiliana announces its inaugural International Festival for Composers, to take place in the picturesque surroundings of Frigiliana village, within easy reach of Mˆlaga International Airport on the Spanish Costa del Sol.

Composers of any nationality, without age limit, are invited to submit a work or works for performance in concert at MNMI 2008.

Participants have the opportunity to reside in Frigiliana, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, located at the foot of Sierras Almijara and Tejeda, a few minutes drive from the Mediterranean Sea.

Concerts will be held in Frigiliana and at various nearby locations on the Costa del Sol. All other events take place in Frigiliana itself. Concerts will be recorded, and participants may receive a CD copy of their performance free of charge for private use only.

Composers whose works are accepted for performance at MNMI 2008 will also be invited to give a presentation about their own music during the Festival and will be recognized as Guest Composer of the MNMI. A certificate will be given to each participant.

Composers unable to attend  MNMI 2008 in person, may also have their work(s) performed at the Festival and recorded in concert, by submitting work(s) according to the conditions below, together with the appropriate payment.
