3 ideas for Projects:

  • Light and Color to MIDI Interface:  Use photo and color sensors to generate control signals which are then translated into MIDI control data.

 

  • Tactile MIDI interface:  Touching, rubbing, and hitting generate control signals which will be translated into MIDI control data.  I need to find a suitable sensor material.

 

  • Immersive Environment Game:  I haven't worked out the details yet, but the concept is a table or large board game which multiple players can play.  Their play choices determine results not only within the table game, but also cause results around them in the room.  These results will be in the form of light, color, sound, and movement by kinetic objects.
