This is the demonstration video for a an interactive tabletop game called "Krakatoa" done for Ken Perlin's Advanced Multimedia class. The table is a normal formica coffee table with a camera and projector mounted on the ceiling above. Players sit around the table and move "pucks" to control gameplay. The camera reads the position of the puck identified by the number of markings and translates that into a character command for each player.

I worked on the game design for this: it's partly based on the board game Survive. I created all the models, rigged the characters, and made the final animation where the volcano erupts. The character animation is controlled by Perlin's procedural techniques, rather than motion capture or hand-created animation keys.

Thanks to Evan B for this webpage, which I ripped off.
