About Me
I recently graduated from New York University with my B.A. in
mathematics and a minor in
physics. Next year, I will begin my graduate studies at the
University of Chicago.
Here is a copy of my
CV.
Summer Plans
This summer, I am participating in the
Summer Program in Analysis and Geometry at Princeton University.
Research
I am interested in developing analytic techniques that can be applied to problems in other fields of science. My general research interests(so far) include dynamical systems, harmonic analysis, partial differential equations, mathematical physics, and probability theory.
From Spring 2007-Spring 2008, I worked with
William Ott at the
Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. We focused primarily on projections of infinite-dimensional dynamical systems onto finite-dimensional Euclidean spaces. In Spring 2008, Professor Ott also conducted an independent study with me in differential equations from a dynamical perspective.
In Summer 2008, I participated in the Ergodic Theory Research Group at the NSF
SMALL REU held at Williams College. Working under
Cesar Silva, we studied a measure-theoretic notion of sensitive dependence on initial conditions, which we coined Measurable Time-Restricted Sensitivity.
Here is a list of research-related works
In preparation:
- Measurable Time-Restricted Sensitivity(with Domenico Aiello, Hansheng Diao, Zhou Fan, Daniel O. King, and Cesar E. Silva)
Extras
- cSplash-I am involved in the annual festival, cSplash, which is the major event of the Courant Student Outreach Program. This year, I am the Academic Coordinator for the event.
- Ellison Ballet-Before I decided to pursue mathematics, I planned on becoming a professional ballerina. Ellison Ballet is one of the finest ballet programs in the United States. Recently, NYU Today ran an article about this interesting career combination available here.
