MARITIME COLLEGE APPOINTMENTS LAW

In June 2002, the New York Legislature passed a law that provides a cadet appointments program comparable to that available for the federal service academies. Key supporters in the Senate were Kenneth LaValle and Guy Velella. In the Assembly, important roles in the bill’s passage were played by Edward Sullivan and Stephen Kaufman.
