Just finished watching the DVD of Simon West's Con Air. Though the film is brilliant for its camp portrayal and exploitation of Hollywood violence, special effects, and spectacular disaster sequences, it troubles me that great actors such as John Cusack and John Malkovich would attach their names to the film. And that Nicholas Coppola character, if he keeps getting out there on auditions, practicing, and really circulating his name, he could be big -- huge -- one day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GINA! Ms. Gina rented a limo with some of our Philly friends and came to the city for the day. At one point, Becca and I rolled the windows down and donned sunglasses, trying to make passersby think we were riding with Donald Trump or someone. No one bought it. Anyhow, Gina is funny, like a clown, like she's here to amuse you. You tell me, how is that funny?
