Saw a free preview of the new musical "Reefer Madness" this afternoon. The satiric elements are great and the references to Communism are hilarious. I never imagined that song and dance could be so thoroughly inspired by marijuana. The only other show that I saw that is as entertaining as "Reefer Madness" is "The Producers." You've got to go check it out at the Variety Arts Theatre!

I saw an advance showing of John Dahl's new film Joyride tonight. Despite some hackneyed and predictable horror scenarios, the film actually delivered some genuinely frightening sequences. What's not terrifying about maniacal, speeding truck drivers on dusty, deserted highways? Steve Zahn was especially entertaining.
