Everyone's an actor in New York. Everyone's an actor in New York. No one can afford to see movies anymore, but everyone's an actor in New York ... They live in Williamsburg because it is cheaper. But it isn't cheaper unless you're a plumber, or pretty good with wiring. And don't mind freezing to death out in Brooklyn. Everyone's an artist in New York. - Bob Hillman, "Everyone's an Actor in New York"
I visited the site of Bob Hillman -- courtesy of Medley -- today. I haven't heard his music, but his lyrics are interesting, as is his website.
Yes, I live in New York City. Do you have a problem, man? ... I am safe in my apartment, where my things are bolted down. Not just paintings and computers, everything is bolted down! Ask me how I drink my coffee when the mug is bolted down. It's a special apparatus I will sell to you right now ... -- Bob Hillman, "Bolted Down"
A new hit on Fireballs & Tsunami resulted from a search for lesbian sex animal fantasy makeup. It feels kind of sad knowing that a considerable amount of visitors checks out the site only for sex-related goods.
Finished the DVD of Woody Allen's 1978 flick Interiors tonight. Quite a deviation from the director's other works. An extremely bleak and disturbing narrative about crumbling family structure and new 1970s idealism. Nicely shot, with an effectively static camera and plenty of white, sterile interiors (hence the movie's title). However, give me Take the Money and Run or Manhattan over it anyday.
