Mission of Burma at the Irving Plaza tonight!

2:27 PM |

Watched Annie Hall on DVD last night. I love Play It Again, Sam, but Annie Hall contains some of the funniest jokes ever.

"Don't you see the rest of the country looks upon New York like we're left-wing, communist, Jewish, homosexual pornographers? I think of us that way sometimes and I live here." - Alvy Singer

So I was just getting sort of wild singing Billy Idol's "Rock the Cradle of Love," accidentally smacked my hand on the desk drawer, and unintentionally yelped "Ow!!" just like Vital Idol does in the song. It was cool (the "Ow!!" part). Good times.

Dave Thomas of Wendy's fame died recently. That's sad. I feel like I knew him, just from commercials since I was 9 or 10. Boo.

6:38 PM |

It was a double feature of cheerleading movies last night. Dave, Meg, Jeff and I watched four hours of pom poms with Bring It On and Sugar and Spice. They both, actually, weren't half-bad. Today I watched Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train, Woody Allen's Play It Again, Sam, and The Fugitive. Maybe I'll write reviews for all of them.

Man, I should really go do something.

For Saturday night Jeremiah and I have tickets to see the Mission of Burma show at Irving Plaza in New York. Sweeet. Does anyone know when A Camp, Tracy Bonham or the Dandy Warhols are coming to town? It seems to be a growing trend that my favorite bands break up before I ever get the chance to see them live. Boo!

Gas station in Lafayette, LA.

Mad props if you can determine the make and model of this automobile.

A strange attempt at recreating Andy Warhol.

Every picture tells a story.

Jeremiah and I snuck into some sort of contruction truck yard. There was gravel, snow...

...a pile of stones resembling Greco-Roman architecture...

...there were cement trucks...

...and the remnants of melted snow (or a toxic spill).

On the road again, somewhere in rural LA. We decided to find a lost highway and snap photos of the adventure.
