On South Street, every place seems to have "the best cheesesteaks!"
South Street's Dairy Queen features paintings of Dennis the Menace decked out in Philly athletic gear.
Check out this guy! He looks like he knows to rock. No, really.
A seemingly abandoned building on Broad Street in Philly.
Noah's cat rules! He can really get along with monkeys. I call this photo "Siamese cat" (you know, because it appears that the cat and the monkey are connected).
Meg and Dave at the Red Lion Diner in Philly. The coffee there rules!
Philly was awesome - ate lots of greasy food, drove around, hung out with my friends and took a lot of pictures. I also cleaned my room, finally discarding essays I wrote in 5th grade, as well as tapes, CDs, and books I don't use. Here are some photos from my cleaning adventures, as well as my house.
When I was younger (errrr, 17) my friends and I would hang out at the 7-11 with nothing to do, perusing the toy shelves. This police playset was always my favorite because the police officer looks like he's on dope (doesn't he!?). My friend Bonnie bought it for me as a graduation present, and I was elated to find it in my closet o' toys.
White trash! Actually, some of the junk papers from my closet.
No trip is complete without doughnuts.
Drop everything and read, yo.
Empty boxes and crates in my closet.
Here's my harmonica collection. I'm still working on it.
My kitty, Ginger! She's bad-ass.
Coming soon: Photos from South St. and late-night diner trips!
Anyone see the 9/11 documentary on television last night? The footage was fresh and really amazing. I can't believe it's been six months since the WTC attacks -- I so clearly remember waking up, staring in awe at the burning towers through my window.
This weekend I drove Jeremiah around Philly and showed him such sites as City Hall, Olde City (Ben Franklin RULES!), and South Street (of which we have a ton of photos, to be blogged within the next few days!). I also caught up with my friends from high school, which was good because we all loooove to stay endlessly at allnight diners. We'll probably head back to NYC in a few days - lots of school-related work to catch up on.
