I learned how to whistle! After twenty-one years of futile attempts, it's finally beginning to work. I'm practicing whistling along with Simon & Garfunkel albums. Speaking of which - I finally saw The Graduate. It's so good!

At Stuyvesent Town, I made a new friend - a cute little squirrel. He or she was a little shy at first, but quickly warmed up to the camera.

Squirrel says bye-bye!

I have more photos of another squirrel that sort of resembled a devil. That squirrel came a little too close. I'll probably blog them tomorrow.

My computer is finally back in my possession! My technological woes started last week when my computer wouldn't connect to the Internet. I called NYU's network help office, and they decided it was due to "overrun stacks" in the system and proceeded to uninstall Windows 98 and try Windows Millenium Edition. When I got my computer back, it still wouldn't hook up to the Internet, not to mention it froze constantly and wouldn't accept CD-ROMs. I returned it to the office and told them to restore Windows 98, and they did and it finally seems to be working. They had to purge the entire hard drive, so I lost my files and programs, but I'm working on getting them back, so I reckon it's all good.

However, there are two new problems I've never encountered before with this machine -- it freezes whenever I FTP anything, and my mouse isn't working (I don't like using the finger pad on the keyboard). Anyone know how to check to see if the mouse is connected properly?

Rockefeller Center is overflowing with citrus -- is it art, or an obscene waste of food? You decide!

Does the "take one" sign attached to this figure mean I can steal the figure? Because I did!

Actually, I was only joking about stealing the above statue. But these cars are awfully nice --

Here's a photo of my head.

Here's Jeremiah, probably wondering why I took a picture of my head.

I feel very out of the loop - I haven't had time to read any blogs lately, let alone work on my own (hence, the unforgivable lack of updates). Additionally, my computer is non-functioning, so I've been using public terminals advantageously for the last week or two. Anyone know how to reinstall operating systems correctly?
