Perusing the links at Frankieboots.com, I discovered that Adam Curry, one-time MTV VJ, has a website! He shares behind the scenes stories, such as this Duran Duran dish. Good times.

Hey, that's my hair!

Attempts to finish (well, start) my essay on global history and economics are futile -- the feature of E! True Hollywood Story this afternoon is "Growing Pains," a pinnacle sitcom of my childhood viewing (did anyone else catch this special?). It doesn't seem like this paper is ever going to get done.

I am absolutely, totally and uncontrollably drawn to E!'s programming. Television really is bad for you!!!

Holy smokes! The Donnas are playing the Siren Music Fest in Coney Island this summer! I'm so there (despite the uncool sunburn I got at last summer's Siren fest). Link via Mad Orange Fools.

Last night was the final class in one of my summer film courses - The Films of Martin Scorsese. I really enjoyed the classtime and readings, and learned so much about Scorsese. Two nights ago we watched Goodfellas, and I can't even explain how much I like the movie. Everytime I see it I notice more new things and realize how skillful Scorsese's techniques are, particularly in that film. And the script - ahhh! How can anyone not adore lines such as, "One day, the kids from the neighborhood carried my mother's groceries all the way home. You know why? It was out of respect!" and "Keep stirrin' the sauce!"

Goodfellas is perhaps the most quotable gangster movie of the 90s.

S'more pictures of the Stuyvesent Town area (no more squirrels in this batch, unfortunately).

Yeah boy, I got a hit for "pictures of people holding onto a tree during a tsunami."

Okay. After I met the aforeblogged squirrel (see previous post) I encountered this squirrel who, in all honesty, I thought would eat me up. Isn't he/she menacing looking? Unfortunately, it appears as if this squirrel had a fight with another animal (photographer?) judging by the little scar on its back.

But the squirrel and I got along just fine, I think. We even went out for a cup of coffee later on!

Well, not really. But I'd be cool with that. I think.
