Howdy partners! The idea of posting my favorites and least favorite films of the year has been weighing on my mind for many moons. The truth of the matter is, I haven't had a chance, but, for now, let me just say this: I think My Big Fat Greek Wedding and The Hours were both horrible, gross, and awful. Someone at work yesterday suggested combining movies, perhaps to improve their overall quality. For instance, The 25th Hours. A new movie about how three women, Virginia Woolf included, spend their last nights before going to jail. A Virginia Woolf joint. I like it.

Speaking of movies, here's a psychedelic configuration of lights at the movie theater, Lincoln Center. As one poster in my high school read (accompanied by a photo of green foliage of some sort): "Stay off the grass!...and other illegal drugs."

I'm your biggest...fan!

Whaddya, whaddya, it's ye olde kitchen. This photo reminds me of a joke: What did one wall say to the other? ... Meet you at the corner!! Harharharharharharhar.

This, on the other hand, is not our kitchen. It's the Marriot Hotel, Times Square.

Ground Zero, downtown Manhattan.

To quasi-quote New Kids on the Block (later known as NKOTB), Oh, oh, oh oh oh. Oh, oh, oh oh. Oh, oh, oh oh oh. The white stuff. Most of which, luckily, has melted. Bring on the flip-flops.

Home stretch of The Bonfire of the Vanities! Approx. 600 pages down, 100 to go. I anticipate separation anxiety upon completing the book. I fully plan on renting the movie as soon as I finish to see if Brian de Palma managed to butcher this literary masterpiece.

I read, sometimes obsessively, about urban legends. Have you heard the one about the shark lunging for the diver? You can check out the photo, and the debunking of the myth, here. Also noteworthy: Koalas are bums.

Hark! Botchy balls!! Eureka!!! The Cardigans' new album drops this month. I can't remember the last time I was so excited for the release of a new album. Well, except for Spiceworld in 1997. Yeah. You think I'm joking, don't you? Speaking of spice racks, by the way, I hear five becomes one, once again, and a new album is in the works!

So here's a story from A to Z, you wanna get with me
you gotta listen carefully,
We got Em in the place who likes it in your face,
we got G like MC who likes it on an
Easy V doesn't come for free, she's a real lady,
and as for me you'll see,
Slam your body down and wind it all around
Slam your body down and wind it all around!

If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends,
Make it last forever, friendship never ends,
If you wanna be my lover, you have got to give,
Taking is too easy, but that's the way it is.
