Scenes from Spanish Harlem.

Here in my car, I feel safest of all. I can lock all my doors, it's the only way to live, in cars.

Vrooom, vrooom.

Oooh yeah...taking care of business! This one's for you, Mom! Spongebob rules!

A coworker suggested that I send a complaint to NBC for its cruel censorship of this morning's guest, Tim Robbins. So I hopped on to the NBC site, successfully navigated to the Contact page, and -- what do you know!! -- the "Want to voice your opinions on NBC shows?" page is under construction. How conveniant! I bet everytime the (Dis)United States invades a small country, and the media continues to present inaccurate / jingoistic coverage, the NBC feedback form malfunctions. Super.

Breaking news! Breaking news! Saddam's love shack discovered! Call the President! Raise the terror alert! Call a press conference! Send more troops! Buy more duct tape!

As if the news coverage hasn't been atrocious enough over the past several months, CNN has stooped to astonishingly new levels today.

CNN, you can kiss my responsible-news-loving booty because, from now on, I refuse to read your horrible headlines and laughable news "reports." Learn how to deliver real news, not tabloid fodder.

Just as I was leaving for work today, I caught the first half of "The Today Show" interview between Matt Lauer and Tim Robbins, who came on the show to discuss his affiliation with the Baseball Hall of Fame. Predictably, the discussion turned to politics. Lauer and Robbins debated back and forth for a few minutes until it was obvious the censors were going to unleash their cruel powers. Just as Robbins started, "And what about the war in Afghanistan? Did we all forget about that?" the bad theme music interjected and the program segued into commercial. If you haven't heard about Robbins' rightful attack on the organization's Republican ties, this is an interesting article.

In other news, my part-time job is great because I have the opportunity to research many of the upcoming exhibitions at NYC galleries. One artist that really strikes me is pop artist Mel Ramos, whose exhibition depicts nude women (on the site, click on upcoming exhibitions) paired with consumer products, such as candy bars. His work opens at the Bernarducci Meisel Gallery on May 1st. Should be pretty interesting.
