This is my first custom pony ever. I made her over a couple days during winter break 2001, but I haven't had the opportunity to put her up until now.
Since I am obsessed with Blue Stars (hence the entire site's theme) I was itching to make a MLP with that motiff. I wasn't sure what design I wanted or pony frame I would like to use, so I just procrastinated until I did.
Then one day I made a large MLP buy at a consignment shop here in the city where I aquired 3 Sundances. After a while of trying to trade, discovering no pony collector wanted them in their Sundance form (poor Sundances :::sniff sniff:::) I chose the one in the worst condition for reformation.
But, I still didn't have a plan...So I just took out my cobalt blue acrylic paint & began with the large star on her front hip. Next I painted the star on her upper back neck to cover some ridiculous pen marks. Then I just randomly added the rest. I wanted to keep her hair pink for the contrast (I didnt want there to be too much blue) & her body I wanted to keep white too. Basically, I did not want to morph her too much out of her original Hasbro form.
I knew what I wanted to do with her hair already...Its copied from Britney Spears hair (wish I had a link to show you what I mean, maybe i can scan a pic), curly & braids....I still have to curl the mane.

My next custom will be a skiing boy, representing my ex-Boyfriend (yes, I still want to make it even though we broke up). Now that my career is maturing unexpectedly, who knows when I will have the opportunity to make him. *=)
