ICE SKATING IN CENTRAL PARK
| On the night of January 20, I went ice skating in Central Park again! First, though, Dina and I crawled up walls in our neighbors' hallway. Look, I have really flexible ankles: | ![]() |
| Off to the park. It was beautiful but rather cold -- definitely colder than last time. The city looks beautiful at night through the trees of Central Park: | ![]() |
| You can sort of see the ice rink through the foliage and fence: | ![]() |
| Here are my friends Angana, Jorge and Dina. Angana is my neighbor; Jorge lives in Queens, NY, but is from Peru. I hope you know that Dina is my roommate. | ![]() |

Such colorful gloves! Foreground: hands of Jorge and Dina. L-R: friends Angana, Ashley, Ben, Jessica. | ![]() |
| I think this picture is awesome. It is of me and Dustin, but it is a reflection from the angled glass ceiling. The wooden beam in the middle was part of the ceiling too. I love that my camera collects light so well, because the reflection was somewhat darker than it appears here. | ![]() |
| Here are people skating (Jessica is the one sort of in the middle). It's blurry because I didn't want to use a flash, but also couldn't keep my hands perfectly still. | ![]() |
| Jorge the Peruvian had never skated before. Dina became the unofficial skating coach. This picture is also blurry, sorry: | ![]() |
| I stole the next three pictures from Dustin... Here I am with Jessica (behind me, in a reddish hat), all blurry and abstract looking. Who needs the flash mechanism, anyway? | ![]() |
| I looooove my camera: | ![]() |

Ben and I demonstrated our amazing salsa-dancing skills. Hooray for going to salsa night at Famous Dave's with Michelle, et al., last summer! Jessica might have taken this picture, but I was concentrating on my steps and I can't quite remember. Incidentally, I have been looking into joining the ballroom-dancing club at NYU. | ![]() |

Jessica, Dustin, Ashley, Ben and I had an enjoyable subway ride back to Rubin. We were playing a word game and we amused a random person (to whom we talked, when he stopped laughing, and discovered that he was a lawyer named Hank) who was sitting near us! Jessica took this picture: |
