Strawberries/The Awesome 80s Prom/Sunny Urban Parks:
| At the "Strawberry Festival" there was an enormous strawberry shortcake. Apparently it was delicious, but I was too busy taking Polaroids of people and by the time I was done, it was gone (!). I stole this picture from my friend Robyn, without permission. | ![]() |
| But I got an awesome photo out of the deal! | ![]() |
The Awesome 80s Prom wasn't the best environment for taking pictures, what with all the moonwalking*, but I whipped out my camera for the guest appearance by "Michael Jackson":*Okay... I really just wish I could moonwalk. | ![]() |
| "Inga" the "Swedish exchange student" earned her votes for "prom queen" by mesmerizing impressionable young men like poor Wendell here: | ![]() |
| Would that I had dressed as colorfully as Dustin... | ![]() |
| The "nerd" character got up at the end and made a very touching speech about everyone being weird in his or her own way, or something like that. | ![]() |
| The next day (Sunday, that is), Dustin and Wendell and I went to see Hairspray. We walked all the way to the theater, and saw that Madison Square Park (on 23 St. and Fifth Ave) was still a floral paradise. | ![]() |
| On Tuesday I met Caitlin Fitz of Anoka at a bakery by Lincoln Center. After a wonderful chat, I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and stroll through Central Park. I was amazed by the brilliant purple hue of this tree. | ![]() |
| I am continuing my tradition of including one awesome "wildlife" photograph in every photo album by including one awesome "wildlife" photograph in this album. Look, cardinals exist here too! | ![]() |
| The colors in this picture look too bright to be real, but I assure you that they are. I think those two bluish glass buildings are cool, especially with the park in the foreground. | ![]() |
