A long photographic representation of my first NYU semester:

(It will take forever to load if you have dial-up, sorry. I plan to separate this into a few smaller pages, but it won't happen anytime soon. My other albums are much more friendly to slow connection speeds, I promise.)

On 12/19 -- my last night in New York City -- snow finally came. It was beautiful!

Dina and I ran to Washington Square in our sandals (!), and it was really cold and windy but rather exhilarating too -- despite my being blinded by my own hair:

Look, we're fools:

Here's the Christmas tree that stands at the base of Fifth Avenue -- under the arch at the north end of Washington Square:

12/11 was a fun-filled evening. I took these pictures from Jessica.
Kosher doughnuts are gooood:

Watch Dustin and Lindsay pretend to be people who know how to ice skate:

We then visited the Plaza Hotel; here we are in its garish lobby:

After eating at the Lemongrass Grill for my nineteenth birthday (whoa) -- L-R: Dina, Susanna, Shea, Caitlin Fitz of Anoka, me, Liz. The lighting is funny, but that can be blamed on the restaurant. Probably.

The "Wall of Shame," courtesy of Despair, Inc. and my brother Zach, above my bed; please disregard the mess:

Here are readable photographs of each poster, straight from Despair, Inc.:

This one's for you, Hokkanen:
(Not the message* on the shirt; the picture itself!)

*I'd feel like a jerk if I didn't include this link as an explanation.

Watch Lindsay eat falafel in pita bread with her RA Chelsea and neighbor Amy. Falafel is a slice of heaven. Sorry this picture is kinda washed out, but, just like almost every other photo on this page, it was taken from somebody else's photo library (in this case, my neighbor Jessica's).

Washington Square is so beautiful at night after a good rain:

(You know you want a bigger version!)

The arch; and through it, Fifth Avenue:

Washington Mews, the cute little private street, ain't too shabby either:

Here I am with my neighbor Angana:

And a really blurry shot of six festive people celebrating Divyan's birthday (l-r Dina, Divyan, a friend of Divyan's, Divyan's roommate Alex, me, Robyn):

I acquired these posters on the "Boss Day Blackout" holiday. As an avid supporter of Despair, Inc., I think it's important to tell it like it is:

(The poster says: "MOTIVATION: If a pretty poster and a cute saying are all it takes to motivate you, you probably have a very easy job. The kind robots will be doing soon.")

A wise person once said, "everyone needs emo pics." So I give you...this. HA! HA! HA!

I went to eat Japanese food with my friend Shea (far right) on her birthday along with her roommate Jes (who took this picture) and her friend Eblyn (center) from the Bronx. I know Eblyn and I look especially cozy here, but I assure you, I was just trying to fit into the picture. Ha ha!

I got a cool new shirt, and so did Dina:

Dina and I went to the New York Public Library on 9/11, as shown below. Maybe I'm not quite ready for Russian sci-fi:

Here I am, reflectively bespectacled, with Dina at Wicked on Broadway -- it was great!
(Okay, we aren't actually at the show in this picture, as you can probably tell by the shoddily decorated wall in the background. The truth is, we're in our residence hall, but we did just get back from the show and are still in our splendid evening attire.)

Watch Lindsay effortlessly navigate the web with her iBook:

Here are me, Dina and Taina -- the residents of Rubin 505 -- in front of the arch in Washington Square and wearing cutely matching NYU shirts:

Here am I with one of my Outreach leaders, Chelsea, on the 4 train heading uptown in the Bronx. We have paint on our cheeks for no reason.

The now-infamous Outreach elevator breakfast between floors, courtesy of Group 9:

Look at Will (who usually wears prescription sunglasses indoors) and me talking to different groups of people.

My roommate Dina took the following pictures. The top bunked bed is mine, as is the angled desk by the window. My mom made the awesome quilt on my bed!

Behold -- Rubin 505, the view from the door:
