Ultimate is one of the fastest growing sports with over 100,000 current players in the United States. Ultimate is played by two seven player teams with a 175 gram disc. Combining skills from basketball, soccer, and football, Ultimate is an intense, highly competitive and fast-paced game. Furthermore, Ultimate is unique in that it is governed by The Spirit of the Game and the players play the role of a referee as well.

Purple Haze Ultimate is always looking for new players and welcomes anyone who wishes to join. No experience is necessary, just your desire to play hard and have fun. If you are interested in Ultimate or wish to play with Purple Haze, please e-mail us or look for us in Washington Square Park as we are always tossing a disc around.

For more details on Ultimate, check out Ultimate in 10 Simple Rules or the UPA website. For some high paced Ultimate action, check out CSTV's coverage of the 2005 and 2004 UPA College Campionships or Ultivillage.com

We try to travel to as many tournaments in the fall and spring as we can, which means usually about 4-5 each semester. Also, we try to hold 3-4 practices a week, usually at East River Park and we are always tossing in Washington Square Park.

The college Ultimate season does not officially begin until the spring, which culminates with Nationals. During the fall we aim to get newer players more experience and begin to come together as a team, and of course have lots of fun.

Come out and join us. This guy will guarantee you'll have a good time.
