The creepiest thing I own I ever saw
in my life was faded newsprint pasted
vaguely into shapes suggesting Utah,
a program from the postwar boom that read:
"THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY
SAINTS, PALOS VERDES WARD, MAY 24,
The Lord," it read, "is helping us. The way
is marvelous opened up. Bee Hive Stake Sport

It now is possible to attend two

THE Los Angeles Temple." Faded to
a purple pale from sable by the time,
mimeographed in 1959.
