Current Projects

Collaboration with LEMUR (See Demo Video of Mari Kimura and GuitarBot )
Collaboration with French composer Jean-Claude Risset on upcoming commissioned work 2006-7.
Collaboration with pianist Kathy Supové on MIDI piano projects
Collaboration with Liubomir Borissov on Polytopia for Violin, Interactive audio and graphics, and Surround 5.1. Polytopia was commissioned by Harvestworks. Polytopia DVD is now available (see demo clip); $10 USA/Canada, shipping/handling included. Reserve today by email.
Kimura is working on scoring and packaging the interactive part of Tania Leon's Axon for violin and interactive computer. For those interested in performing Axon, please contact Kimura. Axon was commissioned by Kimura, and was premiered at her solo recital at ISCM World Music Days 2002 in Hong Kong.

GuitarBotana (2004) was written for violin, GuitarBot and interactive computer. The work was commissioned by Harvestworks, funded by the generous grant from the New York State Council on the Arts. Listen to the excerpt of GuitarBotana (1.9MB).
