Spring has traditionally always been my favorite season—a time of excess and bloom. Autumn had always been a time I associated with dying. It's amazing how much more you notice when there's a camera on hand.

For the curious, all of these pictures were taken within a 4 - 5 block radius around my home in Flushing, NY (about an hour and a half away by subway train from Manhattan). Most of them were taken in or around the Kissena Park area.
