In 2005, Edgemont Jr./Sr. High School won seven honorable mentions and was the regional winner (seven-state region, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont) for grades 7-9 in Toshiba ExploraVision !

The NeuroTranslator wins big!

"The team's invention proposes to help comatose patients communicate with doctors and family by converting electric signals in the brain into auditory and visual information that can be 'read' and 'interpreted' by a medical expert."

A special awards presentation and ceremony was held in the Edgemont Jr./Sr. HS library on March 17th, 2005 with these executives from Toshiba present:

In 2005, 7 Edgemont teams won honorable mention in Toshiba ExploraVision, out of the 49 total team awards distributed to students from all over New York State.  The winning Edgemont projects were:

In 2005, a total of 4,405 teams entered, representing the participation of 13,597 students from the United States and Canada who competed in Toshiba ExploraVision.
