Introduction

Imagine if you had cash to start a small consumer oriented business...  What would your company look like?  What product / service would you offer? How would you invest your money?  Who would you hire to part of your company?

In this "major project" you will use your expertise in online research and knowledge of computer applications to write and publish parts of a business plan ("biz plan") for opening your "dream" small business.

Parts of your "biz plan" will help you market (sell and promote) your product/service to your customers and document your business opportunity for presentation to your investors.

Requirements for this team project

Your proposed business opportunity must be "legal", operate only in the United States, be focused around a consumer product or service and be "appropriate to discuss in school".

The project should showcase your team's computer skills and challenge you to think like an "entrepreneur".  With my permission in advance, you are encouraged to e-mail or interview business professionals in the field, to help inform and develop your plan.

Your plan must be an original work (don't plagiarize or break copyright!) and not a derivative of some other work found on the Internet or elsewhere.

I suggest that you consider opening a business based on a familiar inexpensive consumer product or service that can be sold for less than $100.00 in US dollars.
