Selection of Entries:
The NYU Fastrack Invite will be an Open Invitational Meet with the goal being to provide some very competitive races. This meet is designed as an end of season meet, for those looking to qualify for National (D 1,2,3) and Regional (IC4A, d3 ECAC) championships. This is a Last Chance Meet, not an all comers. We will be accepting a combination of entries from all levels, including open athletes. We will try to accept as many people as possible, but consideration will be given to those looking to qualify for one of the aforementioned meets. Consideration will be given to those teams who have supported our xc and track meets in the past. A number of schools have been contracted for this meet, it is in your best interest to contact the meet director to be assured there will be room for your school.
Limited Competition and Goal of the NYU Invite.
It is our goal to put on a meet that is competitive in nature, while being limited in time.
We have the Armory Facility for a certain length of time, and by so doing must limit the number of entries per event. Please note the numbers we hope to take in each event on the order of events. Those with verifiable seed times stand the best chance of being selected to compete. We reserve the right to take more or less in any event should the entries dictate so doing. We reserve the right to cancel any event for lack of entries.
Lastly and most important, I encourage coaches to email or call me with any special situations, or to inquire which events might have people looking to run similar times as your athletes. We hope to be most accommodating to any requests you might have.
Please check this site for Additional Information the 2 weeks leading up to the meet.
