I am a Master Teacher in the General Studies Program and an adjunct assistant professor at the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at New York University. CLACS is located in the King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center, near the NYU Library. I am also a professor of political science at the Instituto de Ciencias Sociales of the Universidad Diego Portales (I am also in the observatorio Internacional Asia Sudamérica).

Before I obtained my Ph.D. (May 2003), I was a graduate student in the Department of Politics at New York University, in New York City. Previously (April 1995-August 1997), I was Assistant Director of Student Development Services at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 1992, I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology. In 1994, I obtained a Master of Arts in Political Science at the University of Chicago. As most U. of C. Alumni, I am a member of the Seminary Co-op Bookstore.
