Our final meeting of the semester will take place next week! In this special event the distinguished women of the Computer Science faculty will be speaking about academia, technology, research, and being a woman in these areas. Come meet other supporters of women in technology over pizza and soda! For those interested in industry internships or positions, we work with Google, IBM, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, and others. Come get advice from advanced students about academic issues and being a woman in technology. Computer science students of all levels and non-CS students interested in technology are welcome. We will discuss plans for the semester, choose a regular meeting day and time, and plan upcoming trips to IBM Watson Labs and Morgan Stanley. Officer positions are available and elections will be held soon. Please email rebecca.davidson [at] nyu [dot] edu with any questions or join our mailing list for more information. Hope to see you there!

Friday, February 10

On Friday, February 10, the Women in Science and Engineering Conference will be held at Princeton University. The conference runs from 10:30 to 4:00. It is a great opportunity to discuss issues women face in science such as being an underrepresented minority, the pros and cons of working in industry vs academia, and much more! We can leave Friday morning in a big group, so please email one of the officers if you are interested so we can coordinate. Here is the website for more information: Women in Science and Engineering Register online now!
