Research Interests: Visual attention, binocular rivalry, psychophysics, fMRI, TMS, contrast sensitivity, motion processing, corticothalamic interactions
Current Research: The world's big, and our brains are small. Attention helps us filter the torrent of information in our visual world into smaller, more comprehensible bits of information. How does attention do this? A growing body of evidence suggests that the attentional selection process occurs very early on in the visual stream -attention actually affects how we see. My research focuses on the mechanisms underlying attentional modulation of perception. In particular, I'm interested in linking neural models of perception to psychophysics.
