U.S. Naval Academy Band 150th AnniversaryA double-CD set by the U.S. Naval Academy Band, featuring a wide range of historical recordings by the band made available for the first time, as well as a selection of brand new works written in celebration of the USNAB's 150th anniversary. The centerpiece of the set is Rosenhaus' Symphony for Band (Academy). The four-movement, 20-minute work is conducted by CDR Donald Keller.

Meridian String Quartet: Diverse Light, Volume 2
The Meridian String Quartet plays works by members of the Long Island Composers Alliance, including Strange Loops (String Quartet No.1). Other composers represented are Herbert Deustch, Mary Inwood, Raul Pleskow, and Albert Tepper. The CD was produced by Steven L. Rosenhaus and Bill Siegmund. Laura Leon: Preludes to Passion
Preludes to Passion, performed and produced by pianist Laura Leon, features Rosenhaus' tango The Kiss as both the second track and, in a shortened version, the last track. Other works on the recording are by J.S. Bach, Bela Bartok, Aaron Copland, Eric Ewazen,Paul Hindemith, Leo Kraft, Bohuslav Martinu, Francis Poulenc, Sting, and Peter Schickele. |

New Sounds from the Village
Violist Tina Pelikan and cellist Dawn Buckholz perform Rosenhaus' Kol Nidre Prelude as part of this collection of works by composers who have taught at New York University. The recording was produced by Steven Rosenhaus, with Dinu Ghezzo as Executive Producer. Steven Rosenhaus: A Man Like Me
A MAN LIKE ME is the title track of Steven's first solo recording, which was released in 2003. Steven is joined by special guests Keith R.A. DeCandido (percussion), and James T. Oakar (classical guitar), who co-produced the recording with Steven. Steven sings all the leads and harmonies on AMLM, and plays guitars, mandolin, keyboards--even harmonica! There are nine new songs and two favorites in new arrangements: A Man Like Me; It Don't Get Any Better; Coming Home to You (Brand new arrangement!); Mean Streak; Can't We Be Friends Forever; How Can I Be Lonely; Have Another Drink On Me (Live!); Out of Touch; The Music Begins; Don't Quit Your Day Job (Brand new arrangement!); and Hole in the Sky (Written in response to 9/11/01).

The Don't Quit Your Day Job Players: Blues Spoken Here
Before Steven went solo, he performed with a great bunch of musicians with the ironic collective name of The Don't Quit Your Day Job Players. DQYDJP featured David Honigsberg (lead vocals, guitars, songwriter), Alexandra Honigsberg (lead and backup vocals, viola, violin, songwriter), Keith DeCandido (percussion, backup vocals), Steven (lead and backup vocals, guitars, mandolin, songwriter), Rik Cleary (bass), and Tom Laubenthal (drums). DQYDJP's second CD (Steven's first with the band), Blues Spoken Here, includes six of Steven's songs: How Can I Be Old (When You Make Me Feel This Young); Coming Home To You; Monday Night Blues; You're Still Mine; Don't Quit Your Day Job; and Stop The Rising Of The Sun.
DQYDJP leader and lead singer David Honigsberg died on March 27, 2007. He was 48 years old. |
