Biography Stacy Rosenberg is Assistant Director for External Relations at the New York University Department of Media, Culture, and Communication (MCC) and the NYU Council for Media and Culture. In this role she develops global and local internships, web content, and public programs. She is also currently a member of the adjunct faculty of the NYU Stern School of Business and NYU Steinhardt for the courses Business and Its Publics, Professional Responsibility & Leadership, Media and Identity and previously Media Criticism. Recently, she co-directed the Media and Globalization study abroad course in Amsterdam and Paris. Aside from her work at NYU, through Foster Pride, Stacy leads a financial planning seminar for young adults aging out of the foster care system. Prior to joining MCC, Stacy served as Associate Director at the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management. Previously, she worked as a web producer for the arts and entertainment guide Citysearch.com and in live and recorded television production for The Walt Disney Company and Universal Studios, Orlando. Projects included media relations for The Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney grand opening press events, Disney's 25th Anniversary and Millennium press events, and production work on Oprah, Roseanne, Boy Meets World, The Walt Disney World Christmas and Easter specials, Miss America, Children's Miracle Network Telethon, N Sync "I Want You Back" music video, Flamingo Fortune, Nickelodeon's Big Help in Washington, D.C., a Sears commercial, and more. Stacy majored in Telecommunication Operations Management, with an outside concentration in Business, at the University of Florida where she was a Florida Academic Scholar, graduated summa cum laude, and was awarded the Dean's Cup for Professional Promise. She earned her MA at NYU, and published an article on "The Elderly and Television" in the 2004 edition of the Encyclopedia of Television. |
